From Mandalay – Trains depart daily at around 5pm, and the journey takes approximately 3 hours.
From Inle Lake – connect at Shwenyaung Junction. Trains leave Shwenyaung in the morning and the journey time is around 11 hours; Upper Class ticket costs K3,000.
There are also regular daily trains from Kalaw (7 hours), Taungoo (6 hours) and Nay Pyi Taw (3 hours).
