Bus

There are buses every day throughout the day from Yangon. The journey takes two hours and tickets cost K,2000; they can be purchased from Saw Bwar Gyi Gone bus station in Yangon, which is where Bago buses depart from (it is near the airport).

There are also daily buses from Mandalay, Hpa An, Mawlamyine and Nay Pyi Taw to Bago.

Trains leave from Mandalay at 6:00 AM (arrives in Bago at 8:20 PM), 3:00 PM (arrives 4:25 AM) and 5:00 PM (arrives 7:10 AM).

Trains leave from Nay Pyi Taw at 8:00 AM (arrives in Bago 3:34 PM), 12:16 PM (arrives 8:19 PM), 8:00 PM (arrives 3:34 AM), 8:56 PM (arrives 4:25 AM) and 11:16 PM (arrives 7:10 AM).

Trains leave from Thazi at 9:03 AM (arrives in Bago at 8:20 PM), 5:53 PM (arrives 4:25 AM) and 7:58 PM (arrives 7:10 AM).
