Note that there are two railway stations serving Dawei: the southern station (which is the terminus of the line) is where you should get on board, as it is the starting point and therefore it will be easier settle into your place in the train. The main station is to the east of town. Trains northwards depart in the early morning; it is advisable to get a ticket in advance when you are in Dawei.

To Yangon – $12 ordinary class, $25 first class, $31 upper class (journey time approximately 24 hours).

To Kyaik Hto (for the Golden Rock) – $3 ordinary class, $6 first class, $8 upper class (journey time approximately 19 hours).

To Mawlamyine – $5 ordinary class, $10 first class, $14 upper class (journey time approximately 17 hours).

From Ye – $5 ordinary class, $8 upper class (journey time 7-8 hours).
