Venture off the beaten path and cruise up the Irrawaddy River on a tour of Kyauk Gu U Min. Known as the “lifeline of Myanmar”, the Irrawaddy is the source of life and livelihood of millions of Myanmar people. From the perch of a traditional boat, journey up the Irrawaddy River with an intimate glimpse into river life, fishermen casting nets, women washing the laundry and children frolicking on the banks.

Disembark up the river to visit the hidden Kyauk Gu U Min Temple, a grand and majestic building gallantly fighting a slow and beautiful battle for survival against the enveloping jungle. Explore the area, neighboring hamlets and chat to villagers before returning to Bagan.
