Bagan day tour with cooking class
Time: 9:00 - 18:000
This day of culinary and cultural exploration is perfect for the traveler who wants to experience the dazzling sights, climb the pagodas of Myanmar's past, and learn the tricks to preparing local cuisine.
First, stop at the Nyaung U Market, an outdoor bazaar with fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, and more. Hand-pick ingredients for lunch before heading to the kitchen to prepare your feast. An English-speaking chef walks you through the recipe, preparation, and cooking of the traditional meal.
After lunch, take in the sights. South from Bagan is Myinkaba, host of the Gubyaukgyi Temple, a stunning site constructed in 1113 AD. Across the street is the Nanpaya Temple, a prolific Hindu temple built of mud, mortar, stone, and brick. Next is the Dhamanyangyi Temple, Bagan's largest and one of the oldest. Then on to the Sulamani Temple, Htilominlo Temple, and Shwesandaw Pagoda. Finish the day from a sunset viewpoint.
