This excursion traverses the marvelous Inle Lake and explores ancient Indein pagoda complex. From the jetty, proceed to the southwestern shores of the lake and up a beautiful narrow creek before disembarking. From there, a stair path leads to the hidden pagoda complex.

The complex consists of hundreds of stupas ranging in style, size and degree of moss coverage. Though legend has it they were built by Indian King Ashoka, archaeological evidence points to King Narapatisithu at the turn of the 13th century. After thoroughly exploring this incredible and ancient place of worship, descend the hill, hop back on the boat, and cruise back to the jetty as the sun sets across the water.
