Tour one of Myanmar’s most incredible natural gems, Inle Lake. Transfer from hotel to the lake to board a traditional wooden boat. Cruise past Inle's iconic leg-rowing fishermen and gorgeous floating gardens of pink and purple water hyacinth.

Next, to the remarkable Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, one of the lake’s main attractions. Known for housing five 800-year old images of the Buddha, this pagoda is one of the most famous in the region. Cruising then to Inpawkhon, a floating village of highly skilled lotus weavers who have been perfecting this craft for generations.

Jump over to the Nga Hpe Kyaung Monastery, a magnificent floating monastery built in the 1850s. Famous not only for its collection of Shan Buddha images, but its jumping cats. Though the felines generally aren’t as spry as they used to be, it isn’t unusual to see a sprightly one hop through a hoop now and then.

Return to the jetty around sunset.
