Perhaps the most iconic and enriching experience traveling in Myanmar, a balloon ride over Bagan. Wake up before the sun to board a hot air balloon and float peacefully over the ancient city, taking in the spectacular scenery and surreal views.

Back on the ground, hop in a car and see the sights. First is the Shwezigon Pagoda, a marvelous structure built in the 11th century by King Anawrahta, the first king of the Pagan Dynasty. After, visit the Gubyaukgyi Temple, the famous Ananda Temple, and the Htilominlo Temple before breaking for lunch. In the afternoon, we’re off to Myinkaba village, which hosts several renown lacquerware craftsmen and their traditional workshops. After some browsing and shopping, visit the millennia-old Manuha and Nanbaya Temples.

In the evening, embark on a river boat to take in the sunset on the magnificent Irrawaddy River.
