Note that there are two railway stations serving Dawei: the main station is to the east of town, and is the first stop you will arrive at; the south station is further on and the terminus of the line. Although the southern station is slightly closer to the centre of town, in practice using the main station is easier and quicker, as the train is slow and the transit time between the two stations is relatively long.
